The casino opens at 9 a.m. every day. Midnight is closing time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; Friday and Saturday nights go later, to 2 a.m. Statutory holidays are open days too, but the hours for each one are best checked with the casino.
Gaming tables keep their own schedule. Monday to Thursday they run from 11 a.m. to midnight. Friday runs 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to midnight.

On the gaming floor
The gaming floor holds over 700 slot machines and 9 gaming tables. Electronic gaming terminals and sports betting terminals complete the floor. No live poker room is listed for Charlevoix.
Everyone inside must be 18 or older, and that includes the bar. The same rule covers the St-Hubert Signé Casino restaurant, which also offers takeout. Guests who look under 25 can be asked to show government-issued photo ID.
Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu
The Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, at 181 Rue Richelieu, was built in the late 19th century in French-chateau style. It has 405 rooms and suites. The hotel is open to all. Check-in is at 4 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m.
Four hotel restaurants are open to all: Le Saint-Laurent, Le Bellerive, Le Bellerive Café and Le Point Cardinal. That sets them apart from the casino side, where the bar and restaurant admit guests 18 or over.
Service animals and pets are accepted for a non-refundable fee of $25 per night. Bookings go through 1-866-540-4464, and the hotel’s main number is 1-418-665-3703.
Getting there
Casino Privilèges members have a free shuttle from the Salon de jeux de Québec, booked in advance. On Fridays and Saturdays it leaves at 1 p.m., arrives at 3 p.m. and returns from Charlevoix at 8 p.m. Loto-Québec pages differ on whether it also runs on Thursdays and Sundays.
Seats are booked by phone at 1-877-700-5836, option 1, then 0. Bookings can also be made at the Customer Experience counter of the Salon de jeux de Québec. Booking opens on the Monday before departure, first come, first served.
Outdoor parking is free but limited, the P1, P2 and P3 garage is paid, and lots P4 to P10 are free. The Fairmont offers valet parking, taxis are available at all times, and there is electric car charging. In a straight line, the casino is 120.5 km from Québec City city hall.
A short history
In December 1992, Québec’s Cabinet approved two government-run casinos, one on Île Notre-Dame in Montréal and one at Pointe-au-Pic. Loto-Québec was given their set-up and management. Casino de Charlevoix opened on June 24, 1994, in the Manoir Richelieu’s former summer playhouse on the cliffs of Pointe-au-Pic.
The hotel was acquired and the complex expanded in 1998. The casino reopened in June 1999. It was the first Québec casino linked to a hotel.
